Always Family: Pauline's Soups and More

By Elisha Neubauer

Pauline's Soups and More ? the name says it all. Offering soups, salads, sandwiches of every sort, the odds are that, if you want it, they have it. The perfect place to grab a quick, home-cooked style lunch, Pauline's has been family owned and operated since it first opened its doors, and it plans to stay that way.

While some restaurants have a bigger picture in mind, Pauline's has always intended to be and to stay family-owned and operated. "I wanted to be able to do something with my family," states Anthony J. Marino II Owner of Pauline's Soups and More. "Family owned and operated is the way to be."

After many years of working around the food service industry, Marino decided to take it upon himself to open a business in which he and his family were able to work together ? spreading their family values across the community. "I did a lot of catering as a kid and my brother went to culinary school," explains Marino. "This gave us the backgrounds necessary to open a family run restaurant."

The community has responded to the Marino family values invested in Pauline's Soups and More in force. They've earned a four and a half star rating on Google Reviews. "It was delish, the woman behind the counter was friendly and made it perfect," says one patron. "Excellent atmosphere and awesome customer service, great food with very reasonable prices. I would recommend to anyone," says another.

Hand-patted burgers and fresh cut fries cooked in peanut oil, hand-battered fish on Fridays, and old Pennsylvania Dutch Chicken Corn Rivel are just a few of the menu items that seem to be favored by guests of Pauline's Soups and More. Naturally, though, as Marino says, "Our signature item is our soup, of course, which we sell a lot of even when it's 95 degrees and humid."
