Thrive Yoga and Wellness Center Teaches Yoga and Wellness for Real People

By Elisha Neubauer

Yoga is an ancient practice which has seen a modern upheaval over the last few decades. Its ebbs and flows in popularity seem to be gaining a steadier increase, showing that after thousands of years of practice, this ancient art isn't going anywhere.

But, despite its constantly growing recognition, many are still intimidated by the exercise. Facilities like Thrive Yoga and Wellness Center, however, are trying hard to make yoga more accessible.

"At Thrive, we provide Yoga and other Wellness offerings for real people, someone that has a lot of stress in their life, someone that has moved to the area, someone that wants to meet some health goals," Sue Greenwald, founder of Thrive Yoga and Wellness Center said. "You don't need to be super fit to come to our classes. We'll help you to get there!"

Greenwald understands how to bring people to the practice better than most. A certified Holistic Health Counselor, yoga teacher, and Ordained Minister, helping people find their path in life is her focus.

Greenwald founded Thrive Yoga and Wellness Center with the mission to promote healthier lifestyles through a variety of classes and events. She strives to offer classes, events, and soothing therapeutic treatments to help her attendees liberate themselves from the stresses of modern day, overcrowded lives. Each class is centered around a holistic, natural approach to achieving a centered mind, body, and spirit.

The facility offers Yoga, Tai Chi/Qi Gong and NIA dance classes weekly. An assortment of meditations, in varying styles, is offered throughout each month. Other programs include art classes, book discussion groups, healthy lifestyle classes, and spiritual events.

"We also offer Holistic Nutritional Counseling, assisting those who want to learn to eat a healthier diet," Greenwald said.

Thrive Yoga and Wellness Center attempts to make everything seamless for their clients. To do so, they offer just about everything needed to achieve a healthy mind and body: physical fitness, stress reduction, improved lifestyle, and fun relationships. It is a place where individuals can meet other like-minded people, make new friends, and experience something new.

"Studies show that regular yoga, tai chi & meditation center and calm the body," Greenwald said. "Numerous physical improvements can be felt, including better sleep, reduced blood pressure, a feeling of peace and calm, increased flexibility, increased strength, and reduced stress."

As if these weren't enough reasons to visit, Greenwald explained the Center also offers massage and Reiki Energy Healing by appointment.

"Regular Massage and Reiki sessions also contribute to a better quality of life, offering many physical & emotional benefits," she said.

For those looking to get started, Thrive Yoga and Wellness Center offers a great package for newbies. First-time students can get a three class pass for just $30, allowing them to get their feet wet without breaking the bank.
